Privacy Policy

My Trophy Tales ("we," "us," "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

Account information

• Name and email address, when you create an account (via email/password or Google Sign-In)
• A profile photo and short bio, if you choose to add them
• Business name, business type, and phone number, if you apply for and are approved as a Professional Partner

Trophy Tale content

• Photos and video you upload
• Species, weapon, location, date, and the story text you write

Payment information

Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. We do not store your full credit card number on our servers. Stripe's own privacy policy governs the information you provide directly to them.

Automatically collected information

Like most websites, our hosting and infrastructure providers (Netlify, Google Firebase) may log basic technical information such as IP address, browser type, and general usage patterns for security and reliability purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and maintain your account
• To store and display your Trophy Tales to you, and to anyone you've given a QR code or link to
• To process payments and manage subscriptions
• To communicate with you about your account, orders, or Partner application
• To operate the public Discover and Explore features, but only for content and profile information you've explicitly chosen to make public

3. What's Public vs. Private

By default, an individual Trophy Tale is private and viewable only via its unique QR code or link, unless you turn on the "Public Viewing" toggle for that specific Trophy Tale — with one exception: Trophy Tales created under our Free plan are public by default, as a core part of how that plan works, though you can still turn individual ones private at your discretion.

Your account profile (name, photo, bio, and for Partners, business information) is private by default and only appears in the public Explore directory if you turn on the "Public Profile" toggle yourself. You can turn this off at any time.

We never sell your personal information to third parties.

4. Third-Party Services We Use

• Google Firebase — authentication, database, and file storage
• Stripe — payment processing
• Netlify — website hosting and our contact/lead forms

Each of these providers has its own privacy practices governing the data they process on our behalf.

5. Data Retention & Deletion

We retain your account and Trophy Tale data for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual Trophy Tales yourself at any time from your Gallery. To request deletion of your entire account and associated data, email us at hello@mytrophytales.com and we will process your request promptly.

6. Children's Privacy

My Trophy Tales is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will remove it.

7. Your Choices

• You can edit or delete your Trophy Tales at any time
• You can turn your individual Trophy Tales or your account profile public or private at any time
• You can request a copy of your data, or deletion of your account, by emailing us

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll update the "Last updated" date above when we do. Continued use of My Trophy Tales after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
